Company History

We founded BEAR Engineering in December 2010 on the North Shore of Oahu as a husband and wife owned and operated Civil Engineering firm. We named the company after our son, 6 months at the time, who we thought looked like a little bear! We had both studied Civil Engineering in college which consists of structures, soils, transportation, environmental, construction and water resources and we met while working as engineers at a Chevron refinery in Hawaii. We decided our focus would be the residential market out of a passion for homes and the enjoyment that comes from working directly with individuals and families.
